Aug 14, 2023: Siskiyou Wild Buckwheat (Eriogonum siskiyouense) appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…c095ceb7604c431c059d4d11d I have to say something about this Siskiyou Wild Buckwheat. I did not know what it was till I got home and researched it, but I thought it quite beautiful. The flowers seem to transition from orange to yellow as they age, or maybe it was the other was around. August 13, 2023: View of Mount Shasta. The previous night had violent thunderstorms. Smoke from forest fires were already obscuring the views by the morning. This is looking back on majestic Mount Shasta appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…c095ceb7604c431c059d4d11d Purple Flowered Washington Lilly (Lillium washingtonianum ssp. purpurascens). This subspecies is very localized to the area of Northern CA. I was pretty excited to find this beautiful flower. appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…c095ceb7604c431c…

Just be able to throw at least 95 with either arm. mlb.com/news/jurrangelo-cijntj…903-mlb-1-A&lctg=32178618 ” That is Amazing! And you are right, he can injure one arm and still be a MLB pitcher. Wow.

PostYesterday was pretty nice here, so I brought my BIO for non-majors class outside to explore the 'Rocky Intertidal Zone' for a while. Then I decided to just keep them out there and do the lecture next to the crashing waves and the screeching seagulls. At 48 degrees, they found it rather chilly. I thought it was perfect Ha, still having fun! appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…c095ceb7604c431c059d4d11d

PostOMO, Congratulations! You must have mixed feelings about that? I maybe could retire, but I am having problems letting go. Committed at least for another year. I'm still having fun. Besides, my young wife needs to work for a while longer, and she would have a bird if I was home enjoying myself all day and she was not. S

Quote from rhjanes: “Great stuff. I used to frequent Trail Journals but have not in some years. Is there a way to get rid of all the ads?, or cut way down on them? I do have a logon but I'm not sure I was logged on. ” I get one irritating ad after the first 'click' but after that they seem to go away for me. I log in. S
