new hiker in VA

I have not hiked overnight on the AT. To train, I would like to go on the AT with others in the Northern VA area and learn a few things before I do some serious hiking on the AT. However, I have been unable to locate any groups that regularly go for overnight trips. Any suggestions? Anyone interested? Thanks. Mark (oconnor@comm-consult.net)
