    I suppose it could possibly be completed during winter but don't assume because it's in AZ and NM the route will be entirely snow free. Actually, I would expect some snow travel. Some of those sky Islands get hit with decent accumulations of snowfall that can linger a bit in these higher elevations. Brett came up with a nice route though. Check out his Grand Enchantment and Low to High Routes as well.

    I congratulate you that you're experiencing the outdoors in Nature with your daughter. When I introduce children or even adult Newbies to hiking I aim for the trips to not just be about hiking. Forced hiking/backpacking can easily turn off anyone from the very young to the octogenarians. As the group leader, conscientiously mixing the trip up with other activities helps keep them interested by introducing variety to what typically are shorter attention spans in this fast paced culture.     Georgia Loop was a challenge during winter with a light snow on the ground on the DRT portion. I don't know DMAX. Some of those Presidential/White Mts and Adirondack multiple summit bagging hikes are pretty darn demanding with their elev changes and exposures.

    Appealing to all EPIC LD hikers and those in need of doing A FIRST. Did you know you can hike trails/routes from Waterton Canyon in Co to Arches NP in UT, THE LONG LONG way? CT SOBO to CDT SOBO to Grand Enchantment Tr WEBO to Arizona Trail NOBO to Hayduke Tr EABO. That gives ya a great taste of varied terrain!
