Well, obviously blocking users does not help. As a last ditch effort, I attempted to filter out some of the verbal diarrhea this way. It is obvious that I cannot shut my mouth to the boorish and childish usage of the f word. As such, I would like someone to delete my account. I looked into it and cannot find a way to do it on my own. I love this community. It has been a tremendous asset to me. I have learned so much. Thank you. I will be back in about a month. If my account is still active at th…

  • Quote from Da Wolf: “is someone in here butthurt over words?” Someone in here thinks you have the compassion of a hippo and the vocabulary of an idiot. I am not butt hurt. I have seen it all and heard it all. Someone is sick of your hooray for me and to hell with you attitude and your childish creative spelling of the f word. Grow up you self centered insensitive pig.

Quote from jimmyjam: “So I'm going to quit my job and go for an extended LASH starting the last week in April. Any opinions as to how much notice I should give? I have a fairly high level management position. 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks???” The lead time should be proportionate to the good will between the parties. If it is great, give as much notice as possible. If it is real bad, give no notice. If it is real bad, they will cut you as soon as you give notice. Only you can know where in that scal…

Quote from OzJacko: “I would think the weight per square inch ratio of 3 points of contact and the weight per square inch ratio of say 20 points of contact might actually make it less stable. Leave it with me. I am designing a test in my head and will report back.” What you are describing is why all of my pot stands have only 3 points of contact. Even on the truss design, I purposely made the jointed ends shorter so as to only leave 3 stress bearing points. I fiddled with stands with more points…

That looks like the west side of Huguenot looking south in Acadia. Perspective is everything. That stretch is very mild. You have to almost lay down to get that shot to look like that. I could be wrong. But I think I have taken a picture just like that. Beautiful, rewarding views for very little effort. Acadia is full of such shots.

I tried them both in the store. Not a fair test. I love the valve system in the Exped. Beyond that, I relied on specifications and reviews. Currently, my pillow doubles as the pump…

Quote from jimmyjam: “Anyone tried the new sea to summit Sleeping pads? They have a waffle like surface, inflatable.” That is a terrible idea. I would eat the thing in the middle of the night if a bear did not get it first.
