I'm happy to meet at either the shelter or the parking lot. I could be at either one any time after 11 AM... or a bit earlier if nudged. Up to you if you want to do a loop or mini hike together in advance of reaching the shelter.

hello all. i've revised my plans to include lots of day hikes and snow shovelling over the weekend, in mixed weather, without driving to Bear Mountain! Sunday morning just sounds too crappy to drive home, and Sunday night sounds too cold to be, well, wet and cold. so... anybody mind if i cancel that brunch reservation? my guess is that the weather is going to be bad enough so walk ins will be welcome!

just thought i'd wake up this thread, since i've become more interested in the NET lately. It actually runs through my littlish town of Wallingford, with the nearest trailhead 5 miles from my house. (drum roll) My wife and I just opened the Bell Tower B&B, find us on facebook or on airbnb. We are trying to organize B&B's to shuttle and support the trail. ...so, hit me up if you want the speci…

Finally got out for a six mile walk in a sweet little town preserve called tyler mill in wallingford ct. Best part was talking myself into fording a mid calf deep stream. Ah, the satisfaction one gets from doing something stupid and then telling your buddies about it.

Want to do Monadnock to Sunnapee trail next time I'm up in NH. appalachiantrailcafe.net/index…d071a18d02c9c1e1eb2e1f5ae” i hope to do that this july. Really looking forward to it.i do need somebody to ride swap... I'm at the algo shelter in CT and just met cannonball who started nobo mid february and is doing great.
