It's pretty and everything but there doesn't seem like there's much to do.

Great stuff. I used to frequent Trail Journals but have not in some years. Is there a way to get rid of all the ads?, or cut way down on them? I do have a logon but I'm not sure I was logged on.

I'm in Reliance TN at Reliance Fly & Tackle, where I've stayed every BMT hike. Great people with tentsites right by a stream. Today was hot, but the stretch from Thunder Rock to Reliance is one of the nicest on the trail, and I enjoyed walking by the…

I have returned from another PCT section hike. I will give a brief summary for now. I will not have time to play with my photos and write my journal until later in the Fall. The hike covered from Dunsmuir, CA to Etna, CA, a 98.5 mile section. I had…

Wow Mountain Mike, that section would be so much more difficult without the two water caches. You lucked out meeting that guy in a truck. I did not see a single vehicle the entire section.

There's no longer any alerts on the ATC trail updates page. The fire alert was taken down a week or so ago. I expect there's little or no impact to the AT.

Hi folks! I've got a few days planned in May to camp at Big Meadows and hike a chunk of the AT through there. According to the Shenandoah National Park Alerts page, I'm not seeing any mention of the fire they were struggling with in March that shut down…
