Looking into the park. The riders take the right hand road, a 3 percent grade, turn left at a stop sign at the top. Then go past the CCC tower and museum. After about 200 feet, the road takes a sharp drop and then a sharp right turn. Go past the hotel, pool, and restaurant, and back out the entrance. 88 milers turn left at the entrance and head back to Jacksonville, AL. The Elite and Century riders turn right and head for Adam's Gap. Then they come back, and go up the mountain again, then head back to Jacksonville, AL. The two highway patrolmen are part of the race escorts. The other guy is someone who rode his Harley up and was chatting with the patrolmen.
